5th Texas dog tests positive for canine influenza
Another dog in Texas tested positive for canine influenza, bringing the state’s total number of cases to five, according to the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. Veterinarian Cheryl Maguire said 80% of dogs infected with canine influenza develop symptoms, but most recover, although some need veterinary care and few may die from the infection.
